Play This Way

Play This Way will be given to all eight year olds in Scotland in the New Year and every library will receive copies. The book is also being translated into Gaelic.

The book brings to life parts of the Scottish Government’s Play Strategy in a way children will understand by communicating the different ways to play and be creative, and explains the importance of play. Scotland’s Play Strategy is primarily aimed at building and improving the infrastructure for play in Scotland. But it is important to remember that we need to engage with children and families along this journey, and Play This Wayis a wonderful resource to help us communicate the importance of play and play as a child’s right.
